Rancher:  Last I heard from the buyers is we already lost $50 a head from the border opening. Sure hope it rebounds before I sell, some in the area got sold before the opening. Feeders said packers are going to hold out for the Canadian cattle as long as possible, rumor, I don't know, fact, kind of believe it.

Rancher, it's interesting that you say the buyers say they've lost $50 dollars from the border opening.  I had an offer for a few fats this week to go to the States, and it was 4 cents lower than similar cattle at the auction mart. 

How come yours went down, and ours didn't go up?  If they are holding out for Canadian cattle, they sure aren't planning on paying for them. 

Something's not right here.   :?

BTW, we didn't sell the steers. 8)
