Mike, what was the date of that show?
What was the date of the first confirmed case of BSE found in the USA?
Is it, or is it not true that at the time of that comment, IF there was BSE in the USA, no one knew about it?
NCBA members and leaders still believe the best course if to go with the science re. BSE. Obviously, the consumers who participate in NCBA focus groups do as well.
The carefully designed testing protocol still meets the needs of the USA. Why should that best science be abandoned in favor of serving a faulty perception that more testing will add safety to this situation? That would be perpetrating fraud on consumers, IMO.
You are WRONG. It's sad that you can be so naive and let yourself be so deceived. If you really cared, you would bother to actually pay attention to real experts, not paid publicists. Didn't you read the Steve Mitchell article, quote from Dr. Paul Brown. And thousands of posts here.
I pray that you never have to face losing a friend or family member to a TSE. If you do, you will live to regret these words. Fraud is the silliest word you could use. Tell that to the International Committee hired by the USDA. You need to just come out and say it -- the NCBA could give a d**n about the health of the consumers.
