So did you drag them, head and heel them, use nordforks, or flatass them?

Enquiring minds want to know.

We had 2 people rope in the pen, and used 2 nord forks. The darndest thing happened while we were branding. We were set up along the hiway, and an outfit stopped and a man came over and asked if he could take a few pictures. I said that was fine, then he told me that he was a professional photograher, and did a lot of books dealing with ranch work. Mostly brandings. When we got all done he came and had a bite with us and showed us some of the books he had done. One was in Nebraska, and I think Jassy's ranch or a neighboring ranch to her was in one of his books. He was from Texas, and the friendliest guy you ever met. He said we would be in one of his books, and while he was here he took over 800 photos of our small crew. Here is his website. You never know what is in store some days when you get out of bed.

I met this guy in Valentine a few years ago and looked at the book he did in that area. Some real neat shots.

We had a guy come one time about 11 years ago, looking for a new place to shoot Maralbaro commercials. He ended up coming back and doing a book about us ranchers in Wyo, SD and ND. The book just came out and it's pretty neat. Not the kind of pictures I thought there would be, but real good.

He's going to be at the Dahl in January with the book, I suppose at the same time as the Stockshow.

www.carlcory.com is the website, I believe.

Let me know when the book comes out. :)

Oh, and thanks for playing 20 questions with me.

Tap...I knew exactly who you were talking about when I started reading...Rene Heil...he did take pictures of us crossing the snake river. He did alot of our neighbors brandings also. Yur right..he's the nicest guy and takes some really good picutres..he stayed with us overnite, and so that evening he looked through some of my pictures, and gave me some good pointers. So you really need to get his book when he gets it done with your ranch...it's a great keepsake.

Good photo's too!
