Hope everyone stays safe, sounds like it's going to get bumpy from The OK/TX Panhandle up into the Dakota's!

Those storms will be here tomorrow, currently pushing 90 outside with a triple digit heat index :D

50 degrees here with a very chilly 30 mph wind- with off and on rain showers going thru...Weather guessers are saying by tonight that will turn to flat out rain and that we could pick up another inch to 2 inchs before this moves into Canada... :)

an inch here so far and still raining. :D tornado warning were one after another today on the news, but none issued for us other than a flood warning. i'll never figure this country out. :?

Hey Justin not sure exactly where your located, but I heard that my Nieces country school (Progress Elementary School) was totally demolished by a tornado....they went and looked at it and there is debris scattered all over in the pastures and the school is flattened....anyone else see it? This school is south of Lemmon in the Meadow area! And my other sister watched the tornado down by Faith while working the sale....said they didn't even stop...haha!

i'm about 80 miles NW of Meadow. the news was sure talking about that Faith, Meadow, Lemmon country today. i hadn't heard that any tornados trouched down. i sure hope there weren't any injuries.

thanks for the update, Tibbs.

I don't think there were any injuries that I heard of, but yeah that school I guess is flattened....it is on the corner of HWY 20 and HWY 73. I highly doubt they will rebuild it either. Sorta sad really to have another country school snuff it. Not sure your familiar with that school but your not far so I'm sure you been by it. My sisters are up in that neck of the woods and I guess they both kinda got a tornado blast today.....scary.

I have family who live in Burke, SD and I saw that earlier this afternoon that the Burke region of Gregory County was under a tornado warning and when I had a chance before supper, I called Granny to make sure she was okay and she said there was no damage in town.

i'm 99% sure i know what school it is. if it is the one i'm thinking of, it is only a couple miles from where i buy my continous fence from. it's all of 80 miles over there, but that is still to close to home.

Hope all is well up there where the tornado was and with all the rest of ya'll too. Spooky for sure. We got another soaking of rain most of the night and an inch of new snow by mornin'. I took a beef to town tonight and east of us 20 miles they got 10 inches. It's been a crazy spring!

Snow ya knothead! We average about 13 inches of moisture total. If we got ten inches of rain in one storm ya'll might want to contact an Ark builder and put a down payment in!

Left Las Vegas yesterday afternoon about 4:00 PST. Rolled north on 15 to 70 and then took the dreaded 70 all the way to Byers, CO, and then took 36 to our hop north.

We got home about 4:30 this afternoon. Before we got on 70 we were running in snow and rain....then rain off and on on 70 till about Glenwood Springs. Just west of Glenwood Springs I pulled over and rested my eyes for about an hour and a half, and as the faintest hint of light came in the east I hauled booty east. When we got on the east side of the Johnson Tunnel the wind began to howl from the south, and howled all the rest of the way home. The way my Expedition was being pushed sideways it had to be blowing 45mph sustained. Now there are watches and warnings all over...but it's sure good to be home. 2900 miles from last Tuesday afternoon until this afternoon with the wife and 3 chitlin's. I'm ready for a little alone time!

Strong winds this afternoon blew this little red shed (12' x 50') for a hundred yards. It rolled over and wrecked several steel corral panels,
and a significant amount of woven wire panel corral fence. Fortunately it didn't hit our calving barn, and at least no cattle were injured during the fracas.
We did pick up a quarter of an inch of rain.
