Tony Stewart

You could be right. But his past will keep coming up and people's perception of him will get in the way.

I think NASCAR might come down hard on him because of those preconceived perceptions.

Yeah but these drivers who get pissed and get out of their cars are basically putting their lives at risk doing so and it was only a matter of time before something happened.I'm sure there was a helmet getting thrown also I've seen that plenty.Either way the kid should have stayed in the car and not been afoot on the track.

When Tony got out of the car and did the same thing in 2012, wonder if he thought about his actions might impress the younger guys and give them the green light to do it too?

I have no doubt Tony wasn't trying to hit the kid, but he sure didn't appear to try to stop either.

Either way, not good for Nascar.

Back in the 60's, I watched Bobby & Donnie Allison, Red Farmer, Nero Steptoe, and numerous others get out of the cars and dust it up on the track. That was a big draw back then.

Times have changed.

I don't think this does much of anything either way for nascar. It may make Tony Stewart look bad. I'm not sure what I think for sure. The kid shouldn't have got out but that seams the norm now at all racing everywhere when someone feels wronged. I'm not sure nascar should do anything they have no reason to get involved. If sponsors of Stewart want to drop him i'm ok with that. They can spend their money however. But as far as affecting nascar as a whole don't think so.

I've watched the video several times. Black drivers suit at night, shadows I can see Tony not seeing Kevin. But to see Tonys car turning up track, makes me think he may have been trying to give him Kevin a scare. Either way Stewart killed the kid accident or not. Smoke is smoked.
