Too close for comfort.

Been grassfires in our area for over a week now. Almost daily firecalls. Yesterday got a little too close for comfort. Fire was stopped short of a mile from our place. About 12.30 am bad winds hit again,pretty nervous around here. WAY WAY to dry for this early in spring.

Wow, that's not much fun! I would send you a little of our snow/rain mixture if I could. In fact, you could have it all for a while now that the calves are hitting the ground. Dry it ain't! :?

Burnt....we'd take any moisture we can get! Scary part is our area's known for the sour gas well's splattered here & there.I don't think it would be a good mix!



Hooks...your playin with your life, those 2 girls could take you down in a mili-second.You'd feel pretty foolish walkin buck nekid down the hwy,then explainin to the nice policeman what a sweet Canadian girl,and heart blessed Georgian gal did to a cowboy like yurself :wink:

Sounds like its heading this way...Predicting rain for tomorrow and snow for tomorrow nights- with temps dropping down into the 20's----after a high today of 78 :shock:
Winds ahead of the front moved in about noon blowing about 35 mph...

Gotta' say it's been dry here also ,90 degrees in the daytime :shock: ,had quite a few fires the last week,unattended burn piles ,hope more rain comes through,stay safe.

It looks like its raining/snowing everywhere west of us along the border- and even raining in the northern part of the county...Predicting 70% chance for this afternoon....

I really hope we get this one as we could use some moisture to settle a little dust-- and I just got thru handspreading a couple hundred lbs of grass seed mixture in a tree lot....A little rain might help bring it up....Thats the last time I handspread that much- as I think I'm going to get one of those grass spreaders that fit on the ATV...I have a big one that fits on a 3 point- but can't get around in many of the areas of trees...
