too many pics...

Love your pictures, RA. Glad you are back.

I haven't been able to login for days so I had to re-register as someone else. So
faster horses is now cccattleco until I get some assistance and can become faster horses again.

I'm hesitate to say much for fear this is not the real you.... :D .

Thanks! Darn computers, I hope you get everything figured out. Well, I don't know how back I am...I don't have much to offer in the way of big cattle ranching... :D . I am about to complete a dream of mine that I've wanted to do for a long time...and that's pack salt to cows using horses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... :D :D :D I'm excited! That's kinda ranchy... :D . I just got a set of metal hauls all pannier deals for hauling the salt. There will be some major permagrin going on...lol. I'm all ready to take care of cows in pastures away from here without using a vechile...just need the land and cows now.... :D :D

back in the old days, when we farrow-finished hogs, the spot sows were always the better mothers....and you NEVER saw a runt of the group that was a spot, always the landrace pigs were the runt....

You could get a salting contract with your neighbors...............................................

I have a video of a guy doing that out west. Real neat! Shows him getting all his mules ready, heading out and dropping the salt off. I like watching it.

Funny, I have never seen a single person in a pasture on a horse for any reason in this whole area the whole time I've lived here.

Wonderful pictures RA. Thank You.

Thanks! I about started to plant the gardens the other day with that crazy warm winter weather we just had....this week looks pretty nice too. Seems to drop back to zero degrees though every time I have a sow farrowing... :D .

This spot is the first spot I've had farrow. She's doing GREAT! First time mom..couldn't ask her to be better. She's real slow and gentle when she lays down to feed the babies. I got my second spot gilt from a completely different place and when looking at the papers on the way home, noticed she is very closely related to the spot I had already.

I would like to know how you managed to post the pictures. I can't figure it out, which is nothing new.......but I know others that can't get the hang of it either. HELP!!!

My favorite is the bb cow troggin thru the snow. Great pics.

Thanks! It would be nice to see some pics of those Herefords you're raising up there! I'm still working on getting some Hereford females and another Hereford bull. I'm keeping heifers out of my Brangus bull I'm using now and would like to go back Hereford on them.

I thought you had it figured out??? I'm still using the easiest way I have found to post on boards like this and that is with postimage.org. If you need any help let me know.

no new cattle pics as of late

My farrowing buddy helping me with a litter born yesterday. He gets his own gilt this year. I'm trying to set my boys up with a good start as I grow myself. Little turds will always be just behind me... :D . My oldest boy has 2 cows now, 8 pigs and more money than I do... :D

4 week old piglets

happy to see me

litter of 11 born the other day

Thank you for your reply! I had been using post images too, but could not get it to work. Perhaps it has something to do with me being faster horses before and now I am cccattleco. Do you think that would be? Macon said he sent me a link/code to log in under faster horses but I can't seem to find it.

Your animals are always the picture of HEALTH and HAPPINESS! So great to see! Your partner is growing up.

Shouldn't make any difference. I post pics on a lot of message boards and have all kinds of usernames. Works for all of them with the one postimage account.

Thanks! My only job is to take care of my animals, so I better do it well... :D . I hate to fire myself... :D

I don't know much about hogs but I would be careful about letting your helper in with those sows and their little ones. My father in law had a close call with a sow.

Pigs can be very dangerous! I would not advise anyone doing what we are doing there, but with my pigs there is no danger. I only buy tiny pigs and raise and train them a certain way. No danger in making "our" cattle pets either. ..or bucking bulls or anything I raise..........except rabbits...lol. I've raised and hauled bucking bulls, have raised reg longhorns, reg brahmans, raised quarter and paint horses, I shoe and break horses, roped lots of wild critters for people out and about, been a starting pick up man in rodeos, etc etc....and the worse I have ever been hurt is by rabbits.... :D :D :D
