Looks like a nice day. :D

I bet using poles while skiing would give your shoulders a work out.

What do you use for snow shoes?

ICON, Yukon Charlie 930,(9"x30") they handle deep powder really good . Really like UCON binders they ratchet tight and then middle of the latch will let you pop the strap lose with just a pull.

Too bad you and Sue didn't live closer, it might give Debbie and I an excuse to get some of the right kind of exercise.

Looks like you had fun. Maybe you should have some traps set and get paid for hiking also.

Poles are mainly used for stability due to the uneveness of snow. These are used to help you from not falling in snow especially when snowshoeing. Poles used for snowshoeing have larger and stronger baskets on them, A basket is a circular disk at the end of the pole that helps to add stability when walking in snow.
