The best tool I bought recently is a Dewalt impact drill driver, cordless. It's great for roofing screws, deck screws and lag screws. Been working on the corral, using some 4" lag screws and it works great. What a labor saver.

everything around here get's screwed  thank's to the cordless drill/impact driver. the claw hammer has become obsolete, even use screws to put on fence insulators

About 20 years ago I bought a "Starter set" of Ryobi cordless tools - - - Drill, circular saw, reciprocating saw, vacuum and flashlight with 2 batteries and a charger. I no longer use NiCad batteries so the charger is no longer used ( still works ).

I have sense added a 1/4" impact driver, 1/2" impact driver, saber saw, radio, caulking gun, chain saw ( yes it really cuts up to 6" limbs very well ) 4 1/2" body grinder a lithium ion charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter and will charge a dead battery in about 1 hour another circular saw and I have a total of 4 drills.

While putting up the new grain bin several of the helpers had their own impact tools and the 1/4" Ryobi preformed with any of them.

With selling and installing 2 or 3 modular homes ( http://www.rochesterhomesinc.com/ ) each year my tools get a workout and I have become addicted to them. I even converted my Lincoln grease gun to 18V Ryobi about 5 years ago and it works better than when new. Lithium ion batteries from Ryobi start at $29.00 and work great.

I also like that the Ryobi tools are made about 50 miles from me in Shelbyville Indiana - - - not china!

Looking in the back of my service truck you might say I'm addicted!

This is an adapted grease gun, was 12V but the Lincoln battery went bad and they wanted $89.00 for another NiCad so I modified it about 5 years ago. Just a little 2 part epoxy!

This chainsaw is very handy when checking fence - - - several 6" limbs will not even slow it down.

The caulking gun has speed adjustment and automatically pulls back when you release the trigger so that you will not have drips while waiting for the next use.

The green button on the front of the lithium ion batteries is a charge indicator, comes in very handy!

didn't break them, i seeded them along with 1/2 in. and 9/16 wrenches. if they ever germinate i'll have the market cornered

incidentally , one tool that saves a lot of time is my metal detector and magnet on an extendable handle. work's great for finding nut's bolts, staples etc that get dropped in the grass
