I think the only problem would be if someone ELSE entered a pro photographers photos, because then it would defeat the whole point. If someone happens to have a few photos published, that should eliminate them, since it's still their handiwork.

The dates for Holiday is Dec 7-14 ..can I throw a kink in the chain????
How about moving the other topics up a week and have holidays Dec 28-Jan 1 or even move it back another week so we can have this years holiday?
ie......12/7-12/14 black & white
12/14-12/21 kids
12/21-12/28 dogs
12/28-1/4 another topic
1/4-1/11 holidays that way we can get both christmas~new years and all the other holidays in that time period.

In an effort to please folks, I went to the Catagory part of the Rules and added Jan. 4-11 Holiday and New Years Photos from 2005-06.

I left the rest the same except I did add Holiday Photos FROM YEARS PAST. Hopefully we will get some really OLD ones.
