Tough little buggers, 1 AM, -2 degrees, Heifers were bedded down on feed ground in their pasture. Cows were the same in theirs, But I went down to the shallow draw at the far corner, the calving corner. The was a circle where hay from a couple days ago had been pawed up and a pile of afterbirth in the center. Fallowed the track big set and little set back across the pasture. I missed the new calf on my count; it was snuggled into the side of its mom. This morning it was up, it belly full and mouth was warm. Next couple days highs maybe in 30s lows single digits, Wed warming and say a high of 74 Thursday.
