Soapweed's Bald Eagle sittin on a fence post reminded me of the time I saw a couple of Turkey Buzzards on some road kill. They flew, but they don't get a real fast take off, and one of them was just right to hit the windshield. Boy did it shatter! I was probably down to 35 or 40 mph, but the impressive part was that the Buzzard just bounced off the windshield and flew over to a fence post and lit. He seemed a little woozey, but still perched upright! Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "a tough old buzzard".
