Bout 8 years ago, I was runnin down the road, when I saw a flashy white horse with big red spots all over him, standing in a steel panell pen "bout 10 feet around. I didn't like that, since it had no cover, and we have hail and rain 'bout every week in the spring. Decided I stop and talk to the owner. What I found was an old man in need of some help, as he had 18 horses, and was spending all his Soc Sec to feed them. So I volunteered by time to trim feet and repair paddocks and the normal things that go with horses. Some Shyster Attorney had these horses bound up in an estate mess of a deceased partner, and the old man couldn't sell the horses, but I never seen the attorney pay any of the feed bills!
Well that all finally cleared up about 2 weeks ago, and he donated the horses to the church, who thought they had a buyer, but turned out, the buyer didn't come through. So I used my computer to advertise the herd. it took some doin in these times, but we finally sold 'em all at 1940 prices. Anyway they all got new homes, the church got the cash, and the old man's free at last. One good deed that had a good ending.
