Thanks everyone for the nice thoughts and wishes. Lazy Ace is far from being in trouble...even thought we've only been hitched for a little over 3 years, I long ago realized that birthdays are kinda another day to him, and then out of the "blue, clear sky" he'll pay up! :lol:
I've already had a wonderful birthday, woke up to a nice gentle rain, that I think started about 10 last night.
I am now watching our foals feeling their oats and playing. Funny how the sorrels, bays, and blacks always start the fun and then finally get the buckskin (Snickers, my favorite) and palominos going. This is the last Saturday I'll be able to wake up and enjoy their antics
Our sale is Friday night.
And, to make my birthday even better we are going to BRG's youngest brothers wedding. So, Ace will continue to get off cheap, but I will get a prime rib or steak tips (I could founder on the Isabel cafe's offering) meal out of him, don't worry!!!
And, I'd like to thank Lazy Ace for making me an awesome brisket "birthday" dinner last night. It was absolutely wonderful. He did a great job. :nod:
And, for those of you with bull sales, let us know when and where they are. They are our "recreation"--doesn't matter breed, especially if there is a social following the auction!!!! While still dating we went to lots because Bismarck-Mandan is a mecca for bull sales--at least one a day between the two barns for about 3 months :lol:
