Newsboys - In Wonder

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6bBxO37LE4

"Let all creation sing in wonder...
You opened up my eyes to wonder...
Let every knee bow down...
You opened up my heart to wonder..."

In the rush of life on the farm, I often overlook the incredible privilege that I have of working so closely to the wonder of the creation that is spread all around me in amazing testimony to the hand of an amazing Creator - in every detail of life!

Do you stop and think about it from time to time as you go about your day?

While our chosen lifestyle in farming or ranching certainly has its pitfalls (like drought, blizzards or floods!), we are among the most fortunate people in the world to be able to engage in a work that allows us to participate so closely to the material manifestation of a Creator who has shown Himself through His work in Creation, the Cross and communion with us!

Today, you might take a moment to enjoy the wonder of God. He waits for you!

The shepherd boy David, wrote these words as he looked around his setting while watching the flock -

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the sky displays his handiwork.
Day after day it speaks out;
night after night it reveals his greatness.
There is no actual speech or word,
nor is its voice literally heard.
Yet its voice echoes throughout the earth;
its words carry to the distant horizon." (Psalm 19:1-4, NET Bible)

(Psalm 19 is a pretty good read to start the day with a reassuring moment of worship!)

(Footnote 1# - One of the slides is a testimony to the success of GCreek's restoration project -only visible to the observant. :wink: )

Nelson Mandela...Stephen Harper...Barak Obama...Rob Ford...Robert Mugabe...Hilary Clinton...Winston Churchill... all well-known names, names that inspire hope or hate and fear, depending on how one related to them.

All very human and fallible and mostly unable to live up to the expectations that surrounded their position, giving favors to a few, disappointment to many others...

There is only one Name that will NEVER let you down!

And you can take that to the bank.

Heritage Singers - Take the Name of Jesus

A man once suffered from a terminal illness. Upon finding the healer, he then told others who suffered from the same ailment who to go to for healing . . .

Bebo Norman - The Broken

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7xgSQ1b4h0

"God of the universe, do you hear the cries that pour out from all the earth...

God of eternal things, will you give us eyes to see all the light you bring..."

If you are like me, sometimes when you see the brokenness all around, you are made to wonder why God allows things to unfold as they do . . .

In this song, Bebo Norman makes reference to the hurts around us, wondering if God even sees it or if there's even a remedy for it.

Then, rather than asking for further answers, he asks for illumination for the path and to be a part of the solution to the hurts around us.

Whether our contribution may be small or great, we are only responsible to do what we can.

Don't think I could sing quite this high first thing in the morning.

(Well, maybe not even after dinner . . . :wink: )

More of the Chapman stick - what an amazing instrument and equally masterful player.

That is without a doubt the most beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace that I have ever heard. Simply stunning. Thanks so much for posting it.

Brings the Scot right outta me too GCreek! :wink: :lol:

Well AC Diesel, that's a hard one to follow, but here's a message I need to hear fairly often - like every morning! From one of today's most powerful female Christian artists:

Natalie Grant - Awaken

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjKtkindz6E

Glad you guy's liked it. The bagpipes are my favorite instrument, I just wish I could play them.

Burnt that is real good, I've never heard it before. I really like this one of Natalie's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo5JutNobFE

AC Diesel - Natalie Grant is a great singer/performer - she just pours it all out with real power and conviction.

But this Rich Mullins guy that I discovered only a few weeks ago must have been the real deal too. So sad that he died so young.

Here's another one of his songs that really resonates and picks a guy up when the sledding gets tough. The song seems to end too soon, just like Rich Mullins' life...Remember, if the guys and gals he's singing about get off their duffs and "help shape our destiny", good things will happen!
