have had two calves die 4 days after birth no signs of sickness watched them nurse, there mothers both older never had any problems before. Help!

For help on this you should post it in 'Ranch Talk' where more people
will see it.

Have you talked with your vet? Have him do an autopsy if another one dies~and the sooner you find out, the better. I would say it could have to do with the milk, but with it happening with two different cows that makes it highly unlikely, but not impossible. Have you checked their bags? What is their milk like?

Good luck. Sorry this is happening.

"Buy trouble and drive it home in the cow"----have you brought in any new cows in last yr? Seems like new cows can bring in problems they're pretty much immune to, but raised cows ain't. And vice versa.

I agree with F.H.---once can be anything, twice is heap big YIKES! and definitely merits autopsy

Are you sure they were getting anything when nursing? Sometimes (some years are worse than others) teats can be blocked off. It doesn't take hollowbelly long to kill a calf.
