Ty found a little coyote call in his stocking at 7'00 A'M at daylight his Mom dropped him off and he snowshoed out in the bush and called in this little 'yote. His sister's gave him that camo fur cap-about the warmest thing you can imagine. Looks like fresh coyote backstrap for Xmas dinner lol.

I thought about going out and trying my luck today, saw two of em when feeding this morning, but by the time I got around to it the darn wind started blowing again!!! I love shooting them but you aint gonna get me to eat one of em. Where's that barfing emoticon when I need it

That's just a pup from this year-Ty called him right out across an open field. A big old yote would never of come out across the open field but would of stayed in the bush where it was easier going. We get some real huge coyotes actually but they're a bit tougher to hunt. Two or three miles a day on snowshoes is keeping him in shape though. I don't think I'll be eating 'yote anytime soon either-if you want to really gag-skin a timber wolf those things are bad news.

Ya reminded me of one of my favorite Garth songs....

"So if you see the Cowboy he's not ragged by his choice,
He never meant to bow them legs or put that gravel in his voice.

He's just chasin' what he really loves and what's burnin' in his soul,
And wishin' to God that he'd been born a hundred years ago,
Still singin', Strawberry Roan and Little Joe."

I sing that one to Bodi when he's fussy. Puts his lights out everytime.

Northern are they all that pretty reddish up your way or is it just the pictures? The ones here are a dark grey but towards brown. They are also the size of velocaraptors from eating all the neighborhood cats and poodles.

I'll take a pic of all the yotes he has before he ships could be just the pics-Ty's 5'10 so that's a petty big dog. He snared him and caught him by a front foot so was still alive-he hit him with a deer leg from the bone pile(how redneck is that lol). Anyway he came back to life on the way home lol. The kids bought themselves a little Yamaha 250 Bravo sled-it's got a cargo rack and a long track pefect for what they use it for. There's lots of them up here-nice dependable little sleds to trap off.
