I think we may have discovered a formula to make my son smile a bit more lol.

They sure dig out the dud's when they graduate up there here most are in short's and flip flop's.All wear a cap and gown here...

Here's my whole crew!! They do the cap and gown thing in the afternoon when they hand out out scholarships and diplomas. The kids go get shined up and then come back for the grand march. I really haven't found an occasion that shorts and flip flops belong at-mind you I haven't looked to hard either.

I was dropping off some of our beef jerky at the golf course yesterday just in time for their "Oilmen's Golf Tournament". The manager lady joked with me that my Wranglers and boots weren't par for a golf course. I told her she was welcome on the ranch in her tank top and flip flops anytime.

Congrats Ty!! Lookin' pretty snazzy in that camo vest. And by the looks of the sisters moving up the ranks, it may be good that Northern has to slow down a little bit. It'll give you more time to clean yer gun and greet boys brought home on weekends.

My rodeo boys if I had a dollar for every sheep, cow, bull, saddle bronc and bareback horse I've watched these kids ride over the years I'd be rich. but not as rich as I am for getting to spend all the miles and time with this crew. We've had some adventures for sure!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Ty! And I might add ya have a fine looking family. Glad to see ya up and around! You have lots of blessings Northern, and it's nice to see you know that! :D

NR,
Congrats on getting your son graduated, and great looking family sir. And good looking bunch of boys, I'm sure you had some good influence on them growing up too. Glad to see your back on your feet. Godspeed healing up.

Congratulations Ty.

Also to Corey and the Mrs for getting him there. Fine looking family you've got there NR.

My gosh did you ever trim down, hope you're mending now.

Corey...you and Shauna must be very proud of the young man you raised, hes a darn good kid!! Congrates to Ty....Greg & Mairi

The rodeo boys look good!!! :)

Thank you everybody-there's alot more good than bad in the youth today I think. gcreetch I had to steal some pants that Ty outgrew in grade ten to wear to grad lol. I'm going to try and head out to airdrie/Ponoka with him on Monday but I've got a rib that got buggered up in surgery is a bit achy-guess I'll suck it up and go watch him ride. As for me being a good influence on the kids not sure which way that went-when I started packing them everywhere I quit drinking altogether-I figured it was pretty hypocritical to be preaching to them about it with beer on my breath. Never had a problem with it but I figured jusat quitting altogether was the thing to do. Never tried to raise any angels but sure tried to get through that you can't compete at a high level with much alcohol involved. My favorite quote was 'He bucked you off sober so you sure as hell aren't going to ride him hungover'. Luckily we ran into enough drunken wannabee losers in our travels that the message got through. The boys aren't perfect but if they have a party there have a sober ride home lined up-which was more than I ever did at their age.

I think I'd have a bigger grin than that! If he can pick cows like he can pick dates, I think he'll make it.

She's a sweetheart and a heck of a barrel racer. Her family has lived within two miles of us for close to 80 years. I've had some fun times with her Dad and Uncles at some rodeos. That's a pretty big smile for Jr. he's a pretty low key kind of guy. The only time he had a bigger one was when he rode Zoro Bandit at Calgary.
