Miss Tam,were you meaning to say "accepting" ? Because if you were,I dont remember saying there are countries accepting beef from the USA and not Canada,we all know that the product is mixed and comingled to the point it is unidentifiable as to orgin.
The point I made was,the UNITED STATES is trying to gain a more favorable BSE profile, this will be impossible if we continue buisness as usual,as some of our export markets have already demanded our product be seperate from Canada's
As a matter of fact Korean inspectors' have rigorous procedures to make sure that U.S. and Canadian cattle are segregated. The United States allows the importation of Canadian cattle, and Korea refuses to accept beef from Canadian cattle.
A Korean Agriculture Ministry official told the Yonhap News Agency last week that U.S. cattle processors should run more than a single slaughter line so U.S. and Canadian cattle and animals under and over 30 months could be separated.....................good luck
PS Miss Tam some day you are going to have to wean yourself off that good ole AMERICAN teat.
Like elmo said once............It's hard ta run with tha big dogs when you are chained to the front porch
