OK here was last weeks string of cattle.

Now from the same spot I want them to go the other way. Since you all seem to like cattle "string" I took it as a challenge to take the same cattle and string them out the other direction in the same spot. Hence the name unravel.

Gather the troops.

Gaining some consensus.

Stringing them through the bush.

Bottle neck. Probably shouldn't have parked the truck in the way.

Working by myself I never got up to the front to turn them in time. Too busy taking pictures. :?

Going the correct way now.

Located the gate to new pasture.

Work is mostly done except there are not enough cows. My Dad is somewhere behind sweeping the field. He has the rest of the herd strung in a long line shortcutting through the bush. I couldn't get more than 5 at a time in the viewfinder so you will have to take my word for it. Thanks for the challenge.

I hope it does snow on monday , I'm running out of thing's to do

  That's a problem I have never had. :? :D :D

Me neither, I hope it snows so I can defer the many things left to do until next year. Of course if it snows before it froze then we get to keep doing fall stuff. So much to do, so little ambition. :(

So little time, so much to do. :(

Per, the hills were good to your herd this year, they are in fine shape for winter.
As for the stringing along, it seems cattle will do what they are supposed to until we really want them to toe the line. I think at that point human intervention (regardless how subtle) interferes with their natural habits and things go awry. :D

Maybe stringing a yarn might be how it really is. Yep the cows do what they want and the trick is to get them to want what you want them to do. Sort of bovine Psychology. The grass was nutritious and the cattle responded appropriately.
