Our young relative who lives in Houma, Louisiana and had to evacuate to Houstan after Hurricane Katrina sent me this after they rode out Hurricane Rita in their home. Mindy was ranch raised and believes in taking responsibility for yourself and your own family.

"This is a picture that was in our local paper. This is an unusual way of herding cows. Thought you all would enjoy it! It is taken in a place called Chauvin, which is south of Houma."

LB, I was glad to hear that Tony and Mindy were alright after that disaster. Back when they lived around here they were among my best friends in the world. I miss em', but am glad for their success. Distance just makes friendships tougher unfortunately.

Your young relatives are almost 40! Got a kick out of that. :D

Listen here sonny, anyone younger than me is young!! And they're still on the sunny side of 40... :?

You do realize that Casey and I are the same age this year, don't you?
