Mike is always reading the classifieds, and we have a friend looking for a tractor so Mike has been calling on some ads. Seems like most of the tractors (John Deeres, 140 hp on up, low hours) that are being sold in Oregon, Idaho and Washington are coming from the midwest. How can they afford to buy them and ship them that far and still make money on them?

What are that type of tractor selling for in your part of the country? And why are so many being sold?

JD salesman visited with me the other day. He is selling more used equipment than new because all the new 125+ HP tractors have all been pre-sold with grain prices going through the roof.

They are making big money on trade-ins. Farmers here are moving them as fast as they depreciate out.

Kinda figured thats what was happening. Still seems like freight clear across the country would be huge. Find us a good tractor and maybe Colvin will drive it out
