we are planning a little family trip to visit the grand baby in Yuma Az soon..the trip down is from Kansas to Amarillo, to tuscon, then to Yuma......on the way down, we want to see the Grand canyon,

then on the way home to Kansas we plan on going up into Utah, across to Grand Junction, to Gunnison, to Colorado springs and home....

my question is, for those of you in that area, or been through there, what are some good sights to take in ??

thanks !

I think you need to take a closer look at a map.
If you're going to Yuma this time of year you better schedule a brain scan first, then make sure your A/C is working properly.
For best results, let your bride take care of the travel route and scenic stops. At least drive through Lake Havasu & see London Bridge, the golf course (only grass for miles), and of course, the lake.

it is a stupid time to be going there, but we have to.... daughter turns 21, and wife thinks we NEED to be there.... plus seeing the grand baby is going to be worth the trip

Places I'd recommend would be the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Highway 12 thru Esclante and Boulder Utah and maybe Fish Lake. If you have any questions PM me.

There's a nice little vineyard and winery just east of Grand Junction just off the Interstate. Best wines I've ever tasted. They filled my glass with complementary so much I had to get help to load all the wine in the back of the truck.

Don't stop there! You'll max your cards out!

Bearizona in Williams AZ. Its right on route 66. Tell the people at the gate, that you want to talk to Vanessa, then tell her you want to see Potter.

PM me if you want a free pass

Mustang, that looks like an awesome trip to take, but we were hoping to stick closer to interstate if we could.... maybe momma and I can get away by ourselves some day for that drive....
