Incarceration rate? I think the incarceration rate in the US ( for reading bostioch) is zero. You're trying to beg the question with an insult. Nice definition of yourself. Among other things, the embargo stopped the murderous thug from putting nukes 90 miles from Miami, and isolated one of the globe's worst tyrants. I understand some exist in such a vacuous state as to be indifferent to association with such an enemy to decency. You, define yourself.

Cuba DID NOT place the missiles...the Soviet Union did.

The Cuban embargo did nothing to effect that, the Soviet Union or even the gov't of Cuba. The Soviet Union didn't give a ratz azz about the people of Cuba then nor now as Russia

It has hurt the people of Cuba sure enough.............

The President does have something to do with National Security and hacking by Korea, does he not? Sony would not pull a movie, if they felt secure from terrorist threats...

But, I don't believe he has the authority to unilaterally lift the embargo on Cuba.

He seems to have his priorities mixed up, when it comes to protecting US citizens and capitulating to communist countries.
 
It is interesting though watching a "leftie" like Kola try to explain how exposure to American freedom and culture will help the citizens of a country like Cuba, while arguing that keeping your enemies close includes suppressing free speech and American pop culture for fear of offending those you wish to influence...

Absolutely, lefty castro has harmed the people of Cuba. I gave an anecdote of my friends mom being tortured to death. Now you seem to understand what a despotic nightmare the castros are. The reason I question obamas timing is these guys are on their way out - it's time to step on their throats. This is nearly perfectly analogous to carter making nice with fellow socialists in the ussr and Reagan playing hardball when he knew their economy was unsustainable (the world knew this including carter) I think berry must know how tenuous the castros control is.

No, the missiles came from ussr, they went to Cuba with the blessing of castro. Ofcourse the soviets didn't care about Cuban people or soviet people - neither do the murderous castros - neither does the criminal Obama care about human rights in America. There is a trend here.
