Venezuela's national tree, the Araguaney

Striking, to say the least. This one is in the courtyard of the place I lease in the pueblo. Took these about a week ago. The flowers are good for just a few days before falling. What's really amazing is that one day there's not a flower evident on the tree and the next morning it's in full glory.
