But the $5000 they owed me over a horse deal was more than pocket change!

Pendejo!

You just can't help comparing apples to oranges, can you? Running down a mineral company because of your idiocy in a horse deal. You couldn't blame it on Bush, so you blame it on Vigortone!?

I don't think I have ever knocked Vigortone.. I think its a good product- and except for the 12 bags of bad batch I got (which the cows would not even touch) have been pleased with it... As I said in my original post- my issue has been with their method of having dealers (and subdealers) and the fact that locally it has been a nightmare to figure out who is handling the product- where from/which town do you have to go to get it.... I'm not going to call the Vigortone main offices everytime I want some mineral to find out who the dealer is-- or where I go to get it... And then when I did have problems (which FH told me what my problem probably was) I was told that was up to "the" dealer (not the subdealer) - and the dealer was no where in the country to be found at the time....And later avoided me like the plague-- which I think the horse deal was probably a contributing factor...

It just made it easier and cheaper for me to go to another product that had a reliable dealership and dependability standing behind them...

My original post:
Vigortone is/and could be a good product-if they stood behind their dealers and product....Problem is up here I have had 3 dealers now that went bankrupt or skipped the country- and the company didn't stand behind the defective/problem products saying I had to work with the bankrupt/nonexistent dealer-- and with their private dealership areas way of marketing switching hands so often- it was almost impossible to maintain a supply or even find where you could get it without travelling too far...

You call it getting snookered- I call it trusting a neighbor and wanting to help out a couple of young fellas starting out... I had a young stud horse doing nothing- and they had a pasture full of mares needing bred... But as young folks often are they were a little "cash-short" ... And sometimes you get burned and you learn... Wasn't the first time I trusted someone and had them disappoint me and probably won't be the last time- as I still have a lot of faith in folks as a whole and especially young folks....
I got the stud horse back- resold him and that is water under the bridge- lesson learned..

That is certainly your side of the story. I know the other side but I'm not
going into it. This conversation is doing more harm than good, so I'll say it again: "It's past time for this to be over and done with."

Notice how the first time we hear about a $5000 deal oldtimer got screwed on by the dealer pops up after over 2 yrs of the original post?????? How convient is that??? change the subject, a hypocritcal moment by our liberal liar :( :(

How in the hell could 600# of mineral and letting some mares get bred come to 5 large??

If the mineral cost $1200/ton, that is $30/bag. 30 X 12 is $360. $5000 minus $360 is $4640 dollars left.

Now if the stud bred and settled 46 outside mares, I could see where the $4600+ might come into play, at a C note a mare. A stud in a pasture situation with that many mares to cover is gonna be a former shell of himself come Labor Day, assuming a May 1 turnout. He will require a lot of TLC at the barn to get back into any kind of shape before winter really hits. Now, an AI situation is entirely different. I remember in 1978 when Clary Spencer bred his Top Moon stud to 500 mares at $5000 a pop. All AI, and the old fella looked like $10 million the entire time.

This "story" Old AceVentura is telling stinks. The BS gauge is pegged to the max. SOP for anything Ace spews anymore.

I agree, FH.....the old curmudgeon better shut up and quit while he thinks he's ahead. There are more holes showing up in the story than a U Haul has moves....

WTF?????????????????????????????

Ask Faster Horses... She is the Vigortone representative that when I told her about it-and how the cows would turn their nose up-and ate absolutely NONE - told me by PM that Vigortone had made a bad batch- with alternative ingredients that were sour-- and that I may have got a batch of those... That is when I questioned it...

So believing in what FH ( a Vigortone dealer) told me- since my cows would not touch the mineral (that they had before)- I questioned the person that sold them to me...That person informed me they were only "a subdealer" and the issue would have to be taken up with the "real dealer" so when I tried to contact that "real dealer" person- was told he had moved to Wyoming and was working there ... :???:

Shortly after that -and talking to the Justice of Peace and Sheriff (who was a friend of the dealer) they reminded me that you can't get blood out of a turnup.... The fellow/family had sold their registered cattle herd ( of which I had bought some fairly good purebred angus heifers from at the salesbarn back about in 98 ) and most of his land - along with a business ...So my chance of getting anything back from any actions were almost a joke- and I should just ride the outflow for whatever turd drifted by...And at about the same time- the subdealer that operated a nationally known brandname parts store- and sold the Vigortone out of the backroom- was closed down by court order and the contents of the store sold at Sheriffs sale for owing the national parts company dealership... :???:

Which is why- I say Vigortone is/ or could be a good product-- if they have researched any/enough and have a dealer(s) that they and the dealer will stand behind the product.... If they don't back their product or their dealers- I want nothing to do with them... And in communications with their main office they told me to all but go to He!! and deal with the local dealer...

I found the opposite to be true with the local Co-Op Elevator-- so went with mineral I could buy from them (quite a bit cheaper that does the job - and that I don't have to hunt for dealers/outlet locations for) where they not only stand behind the product- but that I own shares in so know they have the money to stand behind the product they push...

My only wish years ago was that Vigortone would do the same and put their product into credible business's and dealerships... I think the product could do wonders if they allowed actual Farm and Ranch stores/elevators that have the financial backing to stand behind it to handle the product....

And I have told them the same!

In my opinion there are no mares needing bred anywhere until people learn to restrain the urge. Bob Barker needs to add horses to his spay and nueter campaign.

If you are not satisfied with the way the Vigortone company researches its dealers, how in the world can you be satisfied with the way our illustrious president was researched (or not) before he was nominated by the Democratic party, and voted into office? The same principle applies.

Things must be really tight to waste so much emotional energy on a few bags of mineral, or you're a pro at holding a grudge.

IMHO, feeding Co-op mineral is like using somebody else's used waste oil in your car, tractor, or truck. Just slightly better than nothing. You are probably better off just feeding salt.....

Ace Ventura goes cheap, he will get what he pays for down the road. Then he can raise hell and pitch fits to the Co-op people, who I'm sure don't give a flying fig whether Ace is a "stockholder" or not.....

THEN, he can blame it on Bush!

Notice that oldtimer says the JP and sheriff (((a friend of the dealer))) told him!!!!!!
I thought oldtimer was a JP and sheriff during that time frame or at least a SHERIFF

Guess he wasn't a friend either lol

Ot, You are certainly the backend of a horse. And maybe vigortone needs to come after YOU for slander.... Not only is VIGORTONE a good product but the dealers/distributors right down to the truck drivers are fantastic. sheesh..... did I mention you are a horse'sa**

Since you all want to keep this issue alive- and join into the coyote pack mentality...

Yep- and the sad thing is you- Katrina don't have have the balls- or squirrely hair to confront someone personal- face to face about the issue-- but like others use this site for how to promote the holier than thou Christian/conservative ideologies you like to portray yourselves to be- but come long from being able to follow...

The same as when you went absolutely nutso about 5 years ago- when someone posted some very negative posts about a friend of yours-- which you then always blamed to me since I- or any other moderator or the website Owner/Manager did not get them removed fast enough so his surviving family did not see the cooments-- and apparently we didn't work fast enough to tickle your body parts... So I as the moderator was totally condemned in your eyes....:( :(

Or years ago when one of the the holier than thou dailey posters had family members tied into cults and he was asking for help and I gave the best info I knew.... :???:

Comical thing for me- that FH will probably not have the squirrely hair to back anymore -- is that she knew much of what was going on with the bad mineral dealer situation- how they had grazed cattle on his land (after he lost the cattle) advised me on much of it (which she communicated thru PM's) and then even after I asked her for assistance contacting the main Vigortone folks since our local dealers had all skipped or were having the Sheriff lock their doors- and gave me little help - FH asked me for assistance when she made a bad hire of a scam contractor that had ripped her off (which I contacted some friends in the States Attorney's office to handle it for her- which they did ) and later when the Bush Bust came to be- she asked for help on how to get out of a a raising interest skip-away/retirement house she bought in SD-- that the Bush Bust interest went nuts on!!

But I doubt she will admit it... I did contact the AG's office to get her help from her SCAM construction guy- WHICH THEY DID-- and gave her info on how to get her money back and ride out the Bush Bust on the "hideaway retreat" she bought... On that I can't tell you if she succeeded or not...

BUT- For ALL you good Christian- holier than thous- that don't remember your folks original story (s)-- make it as big as you want too... :D :(

And I would like nothing more than seeing the Katrina/FH/ etc. etc types. under oath....

"Unhinged" is putting it mildly.

We're looking at Chronically Sociopathic.

Wonder if anyone else has gone over the deep end from simply communicating on a chat forum concerning Vigortone Minerals?

You can't follow #7 and support abortion. You've made it very clear in the past, right here at ranchers, that you fully support abortion rights.

To paraphrase Britney Spears, "Oooops! He did it AGAIN!!"
