I think Sgt. Smith was a soldier everyone in this country should be proud of and he well deserved the medal of honor. He loved his country, his family, his fellow soldiers and gave his life to defend and protect them. It doesn't get any better than that.
We are going to need a lot more soldiers just like him. I follow the silver market and look for articles on the subject. Came across some pretty interesting reading on the war in Iraq, the posibility of war with Iran and the reasons besides terrorism for attacking them. We need to control the oil in those countries. I will post a link for that article below because I think we all need to think about what is involved besides terrorism.
I read an article in a magazine I think was called business weekly about a year ago on China. When american companies get involved there manufacturing things for america we partner with them. They get factories and technology. They are getting stronger and their need for oil grows. They haven't been our friends in the past and I really don't think they are now. I think we are arming them with factories and technology and some day we won't be worrying about fighting Arabs for oil it will be the Chinese. I worry that if we give up to many of our factories and technology we may not be able to whip them. Anyway the link to the article below is food for thought on this and it does a better job of explaining it than I can.
