Lonesome Dove is great, but I will watch "The Cowboys" at the drop of the hat!

I agree with jigs......... Blazing Saddles is an american icon that should be watched and studied......... A must for the true cultured cowboy......

It is a little different kind of book but a great story.
Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" is one of my favorites and nothing like his other work. I think it is about himself as a child back in the depression. They made a movie of later but I have not seen in years.
