Third one in a row here so Jr. is going 'yote hunting and it's -39-guess he needs to lose some hide off his mug before he listens to his old man. Almost got a couple yesterday but they won that round.

Sounds like he's bored. Maybe he should be calving a few cows for entertainment.

btw it's -15C here with an inch of snow.. lots of bare ground showing.

Two froze up but successful hunters-they got a shot into one other one but it chewed the crap out of cody when he took after it with a stick lol. There were 14 coyotes out there-sounds like they had a wild A'M.

You folks actually go OUTSIDE when it's -39!!!!

I will go outside only as long as necessary when it's 39 above here!!!

Too much for me!

Why not go outside when it's cold if you dress right and keep moving it's not so bad. There's noything like skating on natural ice when it's that cold-you just fly. You need to work on a frozen up watering bowl when it's that cold a truly unique experience.

I think that's -39 C, right?

What would that translate over to F, NR?

Yup, if you stay moving and dress right, it ain't all that bad. :)

-39 is pretty much -39 either way you look at it F or C.......Pretty Darn Cool....

-39 is about 100 degrees colder than it is here today.

Our cold weather will be here in a few days. Supposed to be about +20.

To be truthful, if ya stay out of the wind I find it alot warmer in Sask, or Alberta than the weather we have out here on the coast. Everything is soaking wet all the time and you are chilled to the bone 7 months out of the year. We are never really below maybe -11 but it feels like your freezing to death even inside the house. I can't wait for the cold DRY winters :) (yes I know I might just be the first person in history to actually appreciate the weather on the prairies :) The horses are going to be much happier too.

Boy you are right there Judith...I remember we took off one time from Havre Mt. to some rodeos west of the divide in Washington and Idaho--Was 30 Below when we left Havre- but we looked at the forecast and saw the weather in Pasco and Lewiston was in the 50's and 60's- so we decided we could just save a buck and sleep in the camper and didn't get motel reservations....WRONG-- when we pulled into Pasco Washington it was 70 degrees warmer than where we left-- but actually felt colder...A different kind of wet cold that just soaked thru you...Ended up having to find some gracious can chasers that let us sleep on the floor of their Motel room...

We got up to 8 ABOVE today- which is 10 degrees warmer than they predicted- so hopefully this cold is moving out faster than they predicted....Doesn't even feel bad in the sun- not much wind......

Actually I hear where your coming from....for my 40th birthday my sis and I spent a week in Victoria at the Empress, late March. I honestly thought I'd never feel warm again....not a place I'd like to live, chills you to the bone that ocean water.

You know it is chilly when you go camping end of April and your 110 pound Doberman shoves himself into your sleeping bag (It had to be a mummy style) and proceeds to snore so loud all the other campers can here him.. Frankly I think he was after the cooked rocks in the bottom of my bag but man was that a long night. Dobermans are pointy. I would much rather share a bed with Treenie the weiny she doesnt take up as much space.

Huh! -39 is -39 . I sure didn't know that. Sorry NR for trying to split hairs.

When your young like Ty cold ain't so bad. When you get old, I think all the past cold you've been thru' soaks in at the same time as the new cold. I don't like cold.

When your using a team to feed with in the cold, if you just hang some sleighbells on them somewhere, it seems to raise the temp at least 20 degrees.

And if you get in a wreck, shoot, you hardly even notice the cold.......'till it's over!

I like cold better than real hot weather-back when we calved spring and fall we had a calf when it was -43 and one in the summer when it was 100F-nothing like temp. swings lol.
