I was wondering how the weather is in kansas. And how the weather out west is going to affect the cattle prices in kentucky

cold and windy here.... and a rank odor drifting in from the north, but I guess that is just the Husker basketball team ......

you get 45 miles west of here and I think the weather got pretty nasty, but so far we have missed the 3 big storms forecast to hit us. (knock on wood)

Yeah, I live near Dodge City and we have kind of missed the big stuff too. Got a lot of rain before the New Year and some of the ice, but most of it is kinda dried out by now. Still a little snow in the ditches but very little anywhere else. Send me a couple of loads of those Kentucky cattle, will ya! I'm pretty slow right now and could sure start a few hundred for someone.

I can send you about 9 loads that i bought in kentucky that are already started. LOL They start leaving in a week for texas and i believe nebraska or kansas.

Oh man! You had me all excited when I read the first line! Nine loads would be wonderful right now. A lot of people are sure just sitting back and watching the markets. Not much going on right now.

its slow here to, these are all 7 an 8 weights leaving than i am gonna cruise untill the grass is knee high. I can get you some butt these cattle out here have had a helluva rough winter . We have had 35 degrees and raining all winter just about. Whew bought wore my medi-dart out.

Well keep me in mind anyway. Had a guy from N.W. Kansas call and say they (as well as Colorado) are one more storm away from a whole bunch of cattle having real big problems. A couple of months of the weather they've had or, like you said, 35 and raining can sure take it's toll on them. It's tough enough to get those long-haul cattle straightened out in good weather I'd hate to try it in bad weather! However, I know I can't make much of a living with empty pens!!
