Thanks for sharing that trip! We have been on some of those same roads and loved the scenery. My sister-in-law lives south of Sedona and her daughter and family live at Cottonwood. We once drove from Sedona to Prescott, going through Jerome. I absolutely hated that mountainous road! I do not do heights well, to put it mildly. If I ever totally lose my mind, it will be after travelling such a trail. I realized it wasn't going to be a good trip when we noticed the stilts holding up the back of some houses, with their front door virtually at the edge of the hiway, and those stilts at the back looked at least 20 feet high! Once, we drove from Phoenix up I-17 to Flagstaff during a substantial snow, with several inches on the road. Some of the traffic was pretty crazy. One small car got in the track behind a semi truck.....VERY close behind! And proceeded to carefully 'follow the leader' right off the road into deep snow in the median. It almost appeared that the trucker did that on purpose. We were very concerned for the driver of the small car for some distance, following that truck so closely, knowing how driving in snow can sometimes cause sudden dips and dives and even rotations of vehicles. No one was hurt, so no harm other than needing to be pulled out of that ditch.

You are a great 'tour leader'......it was very enjoyable and makes me want to go back sometime before too many years pass. All of you looked like you were having a great time. Thanks again.

Beautiful scenery! You may have crossed paths with my cousin who recently made Prescott her home, having chosen the warmer climes of Arizona over the harsh Ontario winters.

Thanks for posting the pictures of your whirl-wind tour.

Great Photo Tour!

Buddy......Rowdy........once proclaimed......

"The older you get........the less you like winter'...........hard to disagree.

Great that you were able to escape for a little while.

My Dad said that exact same thing, except he didn't say it until he was 92 :D

Won't take me that long. :?
