After visting the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD, my son and I stopped at my aunt & uncle's farm, south of Alexandria, SD (about 20 miles SE of Mitchell):

A few calves at the home place. My aunt and uncle are retired dairy farmers, but still run about 90 cow-calf pairs. If not for a Holstein bull going after my uncle 2 years ago, i'm sure they would still be milking today.
They are keeping busy in the summer months, even with no cows to milk:
