I just figured out I can get radio stations from all over on this here 'puter. Man, there is some wild stuff out there. I'm listening to cowboy culture society right now. Ain't heard much real cowboy, but some pretty good stuff on it. 128 kbps it says behind the name. what the hell over that means! :shock: :lol:

Spade Coolie, Liz Masterson, Sean Slackburn. Slim Whitman was just on I guess. There was some poetry on and now coming up and Roy Rogers. Dang, this might be worth listening to. I don't care for Roy all that much, but beats the heck out of what they are playing on "country" stations. :x

Now some woman singin' and she's pretty good. Oh, it's Joni Harms, Cowboy Coffee.

Here's a link for Ken Overcasts cowboy show. It's one of my favorites and comes on the local radio station on weekends. At this web site you can listen to three of his radio programs on dial up or highspeed. He plays cowboy music, poetry and stories. You have to click on the different programs to load them up and listen and they change on a regular basis.
 
LOL Steve Earle aint from Texas. he's from Virginia. I like some of his music but not alot.

I like some of the new "Texas Music" too, but alot of it sounds like the kids (I say kids LOL) singin it are all drugged out and can't carry a tune in a bucket. Don't really know what all the hooplah is over them.

Gimme good ole Country music any day, Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubbs, Hank Sr, and now they are playin alotta George Strait on the classic country stations...woohoo
 
I've tried to get the CCS, but it says the audio streams are down now.
I can hardly wait for it to get back up so I can connect. This sounds like
great fun because we don't care for the new country music either.

He's good. We had him here as entertainment for Town and Country
Day and it was really a fun evening. They don't do Town and Country
day anymore. We got a new County Agent and he stopped it.
My choice for the next entertainer was Jinglebob.

Thats how I listen to it. By the way, if you want to listen to the roots from where you grew up, listen to Dave Stamey. He does a wonderful job on quite a few songs about the vaquero traditions and culture. He also has the best song ever written about Montana, according to my friend DW Grothe. I have to agree with him. :)

Ohh yeah, FYI.... "kbps" means Killa Bytes Per Second.... bacicly its how fast its runnin... like a modem.....
