Went to a funeral today

Today I went to the funeral of an area resident. He grew up in this country, was a career military man who achieved the rank of Master Sergeant, and retired back to this area quite a few years ago.

Members of the American Legion

They looked sharp and made us all proud.

A long-time friend and neighbor who is a crackerjack steel guitar player for an area dance band

Another long-time friend and neighbor, all gussied up and looking sharp

Nice ladies that served lunch after the funeral

This man and his wife were here from Arkansas for his dad's funeral. He worked for us on the ranch back in the spring of 1979. It was a pleasure to get to see him again after all these years.

They are a great bunch of guys, but they all have stories that they can tell. :wink:

It's true we needed ice for our cooler in the truck with the kid's snacks in it on our way to disneyland.
