1)If you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it's still there.
2)Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.
3) NEVER MISS A GOOD CHANCE TO SHUT UP!! (my fave) :!: :!:

so ur saying i shouldnt waste my money on buying a brahma?? ive always wanted one of them!

O it will probably live if you don't leave it in open range. Brahamas are mostly found in the south because of their heat tolerance, also their big ears allow them to hear the footsteps of LSU fans thus allowing them a swift getaway from a possible sexual encounter.

If you've taught a vet a thing or ' to' <<spelling check here>> as you say...you should already know that a Brangus will only probably be able to live through a real Canadian winter in YOUR LIVING ROOM!!!!

i relieze that, i was being sarcastic. about buying a Brahma!i know they can only live in the southern (warmer) regions of the world, thats probally why i never see any around here! ill buy a long horn instead!! they can live up here! or a llama maybe i want a llama! :?

I have already aknowledged the fact that both I and my breed of choice are from Zimbabwe.
Canadian Cowgirl many of the composite breeds are named after the breeds they were developed from, notable exeptions are the Beefmaster and Santa Gertrudis.

Beefmaster is Hereford, shorthon and Brahma if I remember right and SGs are Shorthorns and Brahma right? King Ranch developed the Gert a while back.. Story goes they sent a bunch up to Montana when they owned the Flying D North of west Yellowstone.... Cows didn't do so hot in Montana, lol.. Don't know if that was an old wife's tale or the truth but it reminded me of people going to school up north who are from down south. First cold snap hits and they are wondering why they didn't go to the U of Miami (Heck, I felt that way sometimes too)

Beefmasters are Tom Lassiter, last 50 years or so they were developed.

ok thanks, yes Being a Florida girl myself, never seeing snow, i came up in December and holy cow it was cold!! yea, everybody still makes fun of me on the first snow fall by pointing out the window and yelling Katy whats that!? but im adapting to it slowly! been up here for 8 years :D so im a Citizen of two countries now :P

We have a bunch of Brahmas and Brahma crosses scattered throughout the feedlot, and they winter just fine, but of course are on a lot hotter feed ration than any cow herd. Not too many brahma breeders around here, so not sure where they may have come from.

How cold do your winters get? i dont think Brahmas would last in -40C tempuratures for to long!and none of our cows get Silage or anything, just hay and chop, and some time straw with molassus. but thats only when we dont have as much hay as we need.
