All we do much of anymore, is put up hay.
Our winter was warm, our spring was WINDY and cool.
Things are just starting to grow well now. We had a frost a few
nights ago. šŸ˜²We are getting a little rain along, but not much
at once. .3, .6. we need a good soaker. Mr. FH has the wheel line
sprinklers going now. We had to wait longer than normal for the
irrigation water. We were so low on mountain snow it was concerning, but May snowstorms helped that a bunch.

I am selling producer ads for a magazine called Working Ranch Magazine. Do any of you get it? It's a wonderful publication, that comes out 7 times a year.

All the cows are gone to summer camp. The late calvers left about 2 weeks ago. Only thing left here is one bottle calf. he was a late calf and the cow didn't have any milk. We had about 3/4 of a sack of milk replacer. When that is gone he will be too. Just flood irrigating the hay fields. I change 2 to 5 tarps every morning.
Helped a friend move today. 5 stock trailers and a flatbed. We didn't get every thing but we did get the majority. He will make a few solo trips this week to clean things out. Lots of much younger people so I didn't have to do much loading or unloading. I was just one of the freight drivers.

This looks like it would be similar to "Range" magazine. The first time I read one of those magazines, it was like wow there are still others out there that think like I do.
 
Fixing some water gaps on the creek,Changing oil and filter,greasing the tractor and backhoe.Moving hay from the field to the hay yard.Been nursing a sick steer.Don't know if he is going to make it.I think he ate a plastic bag.Got 4 heifers penned with him that have had first Lutalyse injection and got another 6 days until their second.Got a new pickup and I'm trying to rig it out with bumper,grill guard,and tool box.Just get it like I want it.Trying to kill ther latest batch oh coyote pups.Their parents are too smart to kill,but the pups aren't.Always something.
 
Soapweed got both of those magazines. I am still enjoying them and get some good info sometimes if it fits our situation.
I keep track of the cattle in 6 separate pastures, their water, mineral, bulls and doctoring when needed. My sons are trying to hay and concentrate their efforts in that direction. We've had a little storm come through every night this week so the first hay mowed isn't going to be the greatest. My grandchildren are a great help to us all and stay busy. I love summer!
