What to do now???

Calving season's been over for us for awhile now, branding day was here for us this past Saturday, and at the best friend's this past Monday. Now I have all this extra time on my hands waiting for the ground to dry up a bit before I get in a tractor and start dragging hay fields. Fencing will be taken care of in the next couple of weeks by hubby and the part-time hired man. What to do? What to do? What to do????

On a side note, the best friend has some truly awesome calves on the ground this year. I was very impressed. I was embarassed to have let him seen ours when he was here helping us brand after I seen his. There was quite a few calves that we're making the guys grunt when they were tipping them on the table.

Maybe those calves are a lot older than yours Shelly.

I thought you were selling your cows. What happened to that

Thank you Shelly,i am pretty proud of this years calves also.I am hoping they will be even better next year,because of that new gelbvieh bull.Your calves this year,are not what we normally brand at your house.If my memory is right,your calves were bigger then mine last year.We both know why your calves are smaller this year.
