I found a good deal on one, and I am really considering buying it. it is a completely rebuilt 1984 Chevy. New body, new transmission, new engine, custom interior, custom sound system, AND brand new tires, of my choice, which will be a set of BF Goodrich MudTerrains. When I get it I want to put a new exhaust on it, lift it probally four or five inches, and put a headache rack with a toolbox on it. The truck is black and it's mine for $5,000.

What was everyone's first vehicle?

Later on I had me a 1967 Belvedere GTX with a 440 magnum engine.

It would take off so fast the paint would slide back.................

Did they make a Savoy in 67? You sure that wasn't a 1957?

1962 volkswagon bug. I currently have a 1980 silverado, which is a great truck, except for mpg. Don't know prices in your area, that sounds very high $ for an '84. paid $800.00 for mine

Mine was a 11 passenger van with orange shag carpet throughout the inside it had 2 front seats and 1 school bus seat other wise was wide open. The guy I got it from used it to go to Rodeo's so they called it Rodeo Rose.My father in law called it a "SIN BIN" back then my buddies called it the "Stabbin Cabin" I bought a piece of land this past spring and that is where that old van has been sitting for 25 years.

We have a 72 corvette stingray that is about the funnest and fastest car I've ever had we had it up to 160mph once that was enough.Anymore it just sits and collects dust.

If you want an 84 chevy pickup I've got one for sale new sheet metal and paint dual exhaust 350 four speed 4x4. Really good shape $2000

1969 Chevy pickup, fleetside, 396 engine. Got about 18mpg if I drove nice. :D Cost.....well it cost $1200 smackaroonies when mom bought it for dad for Christmas in 1969. Oh....and it was Yellow. More fondly known in our family as "Ole yeller" I drove it for years and years. About 10 years ago, my brother decided he'd like to have it. So I gave it to him. (with stipulations that it NEVER be sold)

'73 Chev pickup, 350 automatic. Sold it after a couple years and bought a '77 Chev with a 454 and man was that a fun truck! I wish I still had it, except of course for paying for all the gas it snorted through!

1964 red f-250 stepside. bought it for $40 in 1985. guy said it would not run. took it home, cleaned the carb and it ran like a top. named it Sebastian. put a sterio in it that cost $200. dad thought I was an idiot.....

a few years later I upgraded to a 1986 Firebird, metalic chip blue with maroon pinstriping. many a trip to the lake with that car! but the danm thing was always "running out of gas!"

met my wife, got married, and she made me sell it! said it was a woman chasing car, and I was done chasing!

After we were married and I was expecting my first baby, greg bought a firebird....dang I hated trying to get my preg body out of that thing :?

In 1970, having just graduated from high school, I bought a 1966 Chevrolet Impala convertible. It was maroon with a black top, and the purchase price was $950. It was a pretty good outfit until the engine blew at the end of that summer. I traded it back to the dealer for a 1966 white (ugly :? ) Volkswagen pickup. Immediately I lost any status that I may have had with the convertible. :???:
