What's your elevation?

50.39N 3490 on the flats where home is and 5000+ in the hills where the ranch is.

You made me curious so I had to look--River place is at 48.17N-- and the north place is at 48.55N....
Your a wee bit further north...

6 ft 4 1/2 inches

In the bush. :D

OH.....

4640 at the home place, 4050 at the Morrisom Meadow place. A little North of 52.
I am not sure but we have been told our home place is the highest elevation ranch in BC.

Your north place puts you pretty close to our good country. I think you are quite a bit east of me.

Elevation at our buildings is 3220 feet, going up to about 3400 feet in the highest hills. The level of our lakes is from 3209 to 3211 feet. 43 degrees Latitude runs through the ranch.

Kinda strange that we are almost as far south as you but use CDN currency and speak the King's English!!

Ok, does everyone have a GPS or is there a website where you can find maps with elevations??

This is an interesting page.http://egsc.usgs.gov/isb/pubs/booklets/elvadist/elvadist.html

There should be a map or even if you town has a web page it may list the elevation.

Yeah, I've found the town elevation. Sturgis is listed at around 3400 ft. The airport sure seems to be higher than the town as it is up on a flat outside of town, but it's shown as around 3200.

Being away from the hills, we're some less than town, but don't know just how much.

I think the sign out from of town say 4412 ft but not 100% on that. Here on the home place is Lat/Lon: 39.56°N 102.62°W Elevation:4257 ft.
