What's Your Favourite Farm or Ranch Toy . . .

I like my Lincoln buzz box. Amazing the things that can be refurbished and recycled with a welder.

Geeze, there are so many!!

I like my welder, my tractor, and probably for fun, my two quarter horses. The mare has a little thoroughbred in her and can run. Her gait is better than the gelding and she really has a nose for cattle.

The gelding is better for kids as he is pretty compliant, but he has a much worse gait. They are brother and sister and inseparable. If you catch the gelding, you can catch the mare.

Our family has had so much fun riding together on them. A couple of years ago we were riding around the farm and went near some trees. There was a momma skunk and about 8 little skunks following her. They were so cute. Later we smelled the skunks around the house about every third night. Then they weren't so cute. I also rode the gelding in some high grass and he got sprayed real close all over his chest. It was terrible. The skunks lost their appeal after that.

I also like my australian shepherd. They love to catch moles and it is so funny watching him and the other dog acting like coyotes on the hunt.

And I want to thank you both for your orders, cuz I got a big commission... :D :D

Got one of those mechanical ropin steers (Hot-Heels). I rationalized it by saying it was a training aid, but to be truthful its just plain fun to use. Can rope all afternoon & not run a pound off the cattle. :)
(I do switch out horses tho)
