I've grounded myself to lurking after some tardo posts. plus... leanin' H almost had my true rich rancher identity pegged....figured I better lay low.. ....and thanks for the beware of pigs heads up, Nicky! I liked that! I told Bacon he was mentioned on a public forum by a girl rancher and he got a big head...

I knew I was missing another RA reference. I laughed at what you said about us having so many head of cattle that we go through tons of that Colley feed mix everyday .....that was good.

It's been pretty boring as far as ranch activities go around here. I have to make a cow loan payment and run the ranch next year on 4 calves worth of money.. ...trying not to think about that.... .....so I've been squirrel'n it up, burying food in the yard for this winter ....and loading the freezer with everything I can and stuff like that. Getting ready to tan my first deer hides to make clothing and things out of.....should be interesting what comes of that. Been making western/hunting decor and things for the house.....that's about it.

Yeah, I'll probably go through 200 hides to make me one good vest that I want to make... Might have to just settle for a nice loin cloth...

I don't know if anyone would want to buy what I am making... I'm making stuff out of free pallets and scrap wood....with limited tools....and nails and screws that are just laying around. Basically making stuff destined to be scapped out of stuff that was destined to be scrapped... I keep waiting for cows to be coming down the road that say free on them, but haven't seen any yet... :???:

Been going crazy getting pecans pick, getting in yearlings, watching the river dry up and haul my kids around the state it seems. Is there an app for Ranchers so I can track whats going on with my phone?
