LOOKING GOOD, HAYMAKER--looking good. Glad you have had a good year.

Get that hay tested yet? :P

No,just sent it yesterday...............good luck
PS I will post the results........still say it wont go 6%,maybe one field will but the majority is pretty sorry.

I love the pictures - - - I have a couple of spring fed water holes but I put a hot wire about 20' back from the water on all sides and ran a pipe thru the dam and put a tank so that the cattle would not push mud in.

The 20' of grass around the ponds filters run off and keeps the water as clear as yours.

That mule might be ok to put out mineral with and check cattle but you can't doctor with it! Where do you dally?

I could'nt agree more, while these diesel eating mules are nice, they will never take the place of a good horse .................good luck

Our outfits are both incognito green, for a reason. That way if I see someone riding horseback I can duck the outfit in amongst the soapweeds, try to blend in with the scenery, remain out of site and hopefully not get caught not being a real cowboy. :-)

Oh don't worry REAL COWBOY'S sit in front of their computer all day long. You won't run across one out Ranching..

Hay maker if you tie gallon jugs on the top wire that helps the deer to see something solid. and most of the time they jump over it and miss the wire ..It works well for me .... got 300 jugs hangingon my friends fences..

I bought a roll of DOT reflective tape and cut it into 6" strips - - - fold it over and stick it back to itself - - - can be seen very well and it is conductive so if the deer come up to sniff it they get shocked.

This adds very little weight to the fence and will last about three years till the wind takes it off.

A second benifitt is the fences along the roads are now very visible to traffic. This is very helpful in snow. Lets me see where to plow and keeps the number of cars thru the fence down.

I put one piece of tape about every 30' and when I first did it I got calls from many neighbors who loved it wanting to know where I got the tape ( eBay for about $50.00 for 150 foot ) and now there are several more fences in the area with this on.
