I had mine yesterday. Took most of the day. Was there at 9:30a.m. and didn't get done till three.... It was a nuclear stress test. There was six of us and all of us was about the same age. No men in our group. I was totally prepared to run just like a mouse on a spinning wheel till I dropped, but it wasn't bad at all. I will know the results tomorrow..

Did one a few years ago.

As I recall, I ran it so long, fast and steep that they hadda replace the treadmill when I was through with it . . .

No problems back then anyway.

:wink:

16 years ago I had the big one{heart attack], did'nt think that was what happened as I sure was'nt old. Anyway wound up with 4 bypass's and about 2/3 of a heart. Every so often a new cardeoligist shows up and here we go again, more test's. I'm almost sure they think that they can prove something by changeing something. Recently they convinced my wife and family that a pacemaker--defibulator would or should make a nearly new man so got some different hardwear implanted. Guess I might feel a little better but still ain't much good to anybody. Yes i have had more stress tests than I can count. Don't really know how many I've passed, but don't regret anything they have tested me for,so hang in there, it's good to keep an eye on thing's.

One fellow I heard about had a stress test on the bike or tread mill, went home and had a massive heart attack that night and died. A couple other have started the tests and had to stop right away. Some have told me they never push themselves while doing the test.

Katrina what the hell are you doing up there, you just had your back worked on, now here you are takin some damn test you don't need.
You better stay away from those quacks girl, you will live longer.
I think Elmo had a few of those tests years ago and the quacks said he would be dead by sun down, I seen the old obnoxious geezer yesterday plowin along his creek bottom, I will admitt he don't move fast and looks dead but seems to gettin along.
Good luck

I think what type of work you do has a lot to do with how you handle it. My dad had one a few years ago and he thought there wasn't much stress to it. He told the lady if they wanted to do a stress test come out and change a flat tire on a center pivot in August.

I had a Bypass in 93 - was told then it was good for ¿¿20?? years.
5 years ago on Labor Day week-end - I felt bad - waited 3 day for V¬ to get home, she took to the Hospital - Heart Attack - Flunked Stress Test - 10% operation of Heart.
I'm still here! {for a while}

I just wish my heart could keep-up with you I feel!

I've had 2. One was free as part of a study and the other following up on some respiratory symptoms.
Katrina, how are you now?

I am fine.... :D I had a spell after a stressful situation on top of a very stressful year. Nitroglycerin is my new favorite drug. :wink: But the headache after is interesting.. I really have a great support system, from my doctors to some very special nurses. And of course the good Lord who I keep loading up that silver platter to give to him. He takes it all everytime and never complains.
I have a new life application study Bible that I'm really enjoying right now. And of course I have my 911 bible verses.
