Who's a cougar hunter?

I'd still bet on bears getting the elk calves they can be pretty hard on moose when they are calving. I guess when you go riding in the wilderness from time to time you'll see wild animals. There's getting to be some cats up in our country too I think one got a bucking horse colt last year across the road from the house-I understand they bury what they cab't finish but maybe the yotes cleaned him up. I admit out of the three lions, bears and wolves a lion would give me most pause face to face.

I feel if Courtney Cox ( Cougar Town ) wants me I will just make the scrafice and let her have her way with me!

i have some pretty good hounds and i am a 4th generation lion dog man. I would love a chance to hunt up there.

If you're looking for a hunting holiday come on up and give it a go. It's a long ole drive up though!

All I've been told is that if ya tree one to shoot it in the lungs with a light caliber and let them drown in their own blood and fall out of the tree dead. If you use a heavy caliber it might knock them out of the tree and if they ain't dead, they will tear up your hounds. Made sense to me.

Silver, If you're still looking for someone to hunt cats, I know of someone in Hudson's Hope area that does it. I can give you his name and number if you want it.

There doesnt seem to be any cat activity lately, of course that's subject to change without notice. Who is it in Hudson's Hope, Lancasters? If you've got a name and number I'd be happy to have it in case these things resurface.

Cougars have a "home range" of around 50 miles!

Hunted a few Cats back in the 50's 60's with a then Old Time State Hunter.
Big Cats will work a ±50 mile Clover Leaf that take about 7 days for them to work - normally you won't see a cat back in your area for 7 days - unless you are near their Lair
We had a cat that lived in a canyon across the road from our house - every morning we would see HER come out of that canyon and go on her way - I loved to watch her teach her cubs to hunt ground squirrels on a side hill

She never gave us any trouble...
A cat did attack a runner in the Park a few years ago - Rangers made a big thing out of hunting it everyday - I told them the 7 day rule - they got it on the 7th day
