Al got the book yesterday, and I'm really impressed with a part of it, and really disappointed in another part.......both Al's stuff.

First, the impressed part.......it says that he was ranked 104th in a class of 1,080 students for his Sophomore year....... I mean, I knew the kiddo was smart, but didn't realize he was that smart!

Now, for the disappointed part.........he picked this picture to send in for his biography......

What they did, instead of putting the whole picture in, was crop his face out and put that only.......it really looks cruddy, because they blew it up to fit the space.....GRRRRRRRRRRR If I'd known they were gonna do that, we could have sent in one of his "school" pictures instead. He really wanted the whole picture in, because it says who he is.............:

Anyway, just wanted to share with you guys.......and thanks for letting me take my frustrations out here.

good job for Al. nice to be recognized.

my cousin graduated in the early 90's third in his class at Guide Rock Nebraska......

I was very impressed until we got to his graduation, and there were 3 in his class.

It was neat, there they all sat, valevictorian, salutatorian, and Chris......

but he still puts it on his resume, graduated third in my class.

think Who's who is just a big rip off. Was in it back in high school never oredered a book. All my kids have gotten letters to buy the book just to read thier bio. Dosen't mean a thing on a college application , or a resume. A week end paging at a political convention, a State FFA degree make more milage.

Who's Who has been a scam since the 50's--it is a shame that people continue to pay their money for such garbage. Be aware, that there is also a profressional Who's Who for business people too--again a scam for your money. No one buys it accept for the people that order it.
:-)

Been on a couple Scholarship committees, it never really added any help to the application we had to judge. Usually the nomination to who's who sports, community service, are because of the group, social, grades etc participated in. Which get looked at individually on the scholarship any way?
