That's a family re-union from my mother's side, all cousins. I believe this was taken in 2002, maybe 2004. This picture was taken in the Valentine City Park.
My grandfather came from Germany with his parents and family in 1883, when he was 12 years old. These are some of his decendents. These would be some of the third generaton. Not all of them were here.
What I find most interesting about these family re-unions is the next generation on down. The different occupations and professions they are in. Everything from farmers to rocket scientists. A real cross section of America.
I don't know why some are not wearing caps or hats. I believe most of us men are bald. I think it is an inherited thing.
