Winter peas

Has anyone grown them? If so what variety and how did they do? We are thinking of trying them in fall triticale. We got our pond full using our well so are going to water before we cultipack (it is fluff right now) and then will be able to water again.

I have seen them make an amazing crop. But that was over on the coast. The climate is milder so I don't know how they will do here.

A lot of guys plant peas with oats in this country. But I don't know if they are the winter variety.
