Wolf confirmed at Sturgis

I saw in the news over the weekend that the game and fish finally determined that a carcass found next to the interstate by the National Cemetery in Sturgis was a wolf that they figured traveld from a group that was released in Yellowstone. Good thing all of the tree huggers got their way and got them reintroduced in Yellowstone,hope they have the same feeling when their pets get eaten by one because I'm sure plenty of livestock will.

Wolf carcass found in Hills
STURGIS (AP) -- A wolf carcass has been found in an Interstate 90 ditch near Black Hills National Cemetery, wildlife officials said.

According to Mike Kintigh of the state Game, Fish & Parks Department, the animal may have come from a group of wolves reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park.

The last time a wolf was found in South Dakota was five years ago in Harding County.

About 1,000 wolves in 140 packs live in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Their numbers have been steadily increasing since being reintroduced in Yellowstone and central Idaho in 1995 and 1996.
 
I saw three cougars from Wisconsin in Saloon Number Ten a few years back it wasn't safe for man or beast when they were prowling. I wonder who authorized their release.

Our friends have a son who teaches at Notre Dame and gave his dad
a school-logo'd hat which he wears proudly EVErYDAY. We always tease him about wearing his North Dakota hat when he's never been there just to get 'im riled! :P :twisted:
