One of our dog clients just called me on his way back home from the German Shorthair Pointer Nationals in Eureka, Ks. And...he won the Amatuer Gun Dog with his dog Roxie who we've trained in the summers for the last 4(?) years. He was pretty darn excited, and should be.

Soooo, if it takes 4 years to train the winner of the amatuers, how long does it take to train one that wins the proffessionels? :???:

Very funny :D He sends his dogs up every summer because he doesn't have the time or the country to work them. Like someone who keeps their cutting horse with a trainer, then takes it to cuttings.

Congrats to you and the owner Nicky! That just rocks!

We usually have dog trainers all over our country in the summer, but this year it was just too dry for them to come. They're generally very well liked in our area, so we were sad not to have them this year. Hopefully the new year brings rain and our southern dog training buddies back!

Cheers---

TTB
