because winter returned

Nice pics. Winter returned here also. We got quite a few miles underway this afternoon to go to a wedding, but the weather got nasty so we turned around and came home. They will just have to tie the knot without our supervision.

I agree with Shawn
I saw a tee shirt once that had a Herf Bull on it and the caption was " the only good Angus plays guitar for AC / DC "

guy said he had it made up special.... I may try to copy him and get one of my own

Nice pictures Doug-- except for that last one   :P

The storm went south of us as for the rain and snow-- but Mrs. Greg left that backdoor open and that artic cold hit today...I think the chill factor was below 0 all day-- definitely a change after the last few days of 40's and 50's...
But they are saying it will be back up to near 40 on Monday :D

I got a chuckle out of your "grandma"...we've got one just like her along with her daughters and grandaughters...and that' s all we ever call her too! Looks like you've got that camera working good for ya..Keep up the good work!

...to whom it may concern...whoever left the back door open up north...you can shut it anytime now...lol

We run black angus cows and black angus bulls. My parents also have a fall calving herd consisting of red angus cows that he puts black angus bulls on. The my mom has nurse cows that she buys calves and puts on. My parents started my kids cattle endeavors by letting each of them choose a heifer calf. Neither of them even looked at the black and red angus. The eldest went for a white one and the youngest picked a herford, both coming off of boughten calves raised by Grammies nurse cows. My Dad tried to trade the youngest out of his herford and no way no how was she leaving the place.

We don't have a "grandma".....but we do have a "Aunt Jemima" and she has daughters and grandaughters runnin round in our pasture

Great lookin set of pictures. Looks like ya got it all figgered out :D

Doug,

Good pix again. Your cows look good. I really like that you still have them out finding their own feed and it is almost Jan. 1. It sure is alot cheaper letting the cows harvest the feed than some big piece of iron.

Johns calves and bred heifers look real good as well. Looks to me like they are the kind to raise. Tell him Hello and Merry Christmas for me.

I am leaving for my in-laws in southern SD today, so Merry Christmas to all!!!
